FAQs: Portfolios & Data Search

Common questions regarding how Data Search handles Portfolios created in the Company Watch platform

Q: Not all of the Portfolios I see in the 'Monitoring' area of the Company Watch Platform are listed on the Data Search landing page - why?
    • If you are the portfolio owner your portfolio created in the 'Monitoring' area on the Company Watch platform will automatically appear on the Data Search landing page list for you to upload or refresh in order to  include/exclude in your search criteria.
    • To add a Shared Portfolios to the landing page. you will need to use the 'Duplicate' function in Angelia (although note that the Portfolio will no longer be in automatic sync).

Q: If I make changes to a Portfolio in the Company Watch platform, will this change be applied to loaded portfolios in Data Search?

    • If you have made changes to a portfolio in the monitoring area on the platform, these changes will not be automatically applied in the Data Search (where the same portfolio has been uploaded). To apply the updated portfolio to the copy in Data Search, you will need to select 'refresh' on the Data Search landing page

Q: I have made changes to my portfolio and loaded the updated version into Data Search, will this update be applied to saved searches using the same portfolio?

    • The version of the portfolio used at the time of a search was saved will remain indefinitely (updates will not be applied). If you have made changes to the portfolio included or excluded in your search criteria, you will need to:
      1. Ensure the updated portfolio is 'refreshed' on the Data Search Landing Page
      2. Rebuild Searches using the newly refreshed portfolio copy in Data Search to ensure the correct version is used in your search criteria.
      3. If applicable, cancel and re-create any scheduled extracts to ensure the latest version of your portfolio is applied.
