Enhanced Directorships® is a powerful, automated machine-learning tool that analyses director and officer details including name, location, and age, as well as information about the companies an individual has been involved with.
Enhanced Directorships® then gives a confidence percentage that an individual director profile is linked to any other profiles. It means you can see all possible directorships (past and present) that an individual may have held.
With millions of individuals registered as directors or officers at Companies House, Enhanced Directorships® means you don’t have to pair trillions of rows of data.

How is a confidence match calculated?
Using an automated machine learning approach, the Company Watch matching algorithm takes in relevant information about two people and performs pattern recognition to determine a likelihood confidence that they are the same person.
The process uses matching techniques based on name, location, age, as well as information about the type of company that the person is normally involved with.
Our aim is to give the analyst better tools to be able to assess the risk associated with a particular entity. We provide the matching confidence as way of linking individuals who may be the same person, but are not linked at Companies House.
The confidence displayed here indicates our level of certainty that the current director/officer is linked to the other director/officer in the list below.
A 100% confidence indicates that the directors/officers are linked at Companies House. By contrast, a confidence of less than 100% indicates that whilst the directors/officers are not matched at Companies House, our matching algorithm has paired them up as a possible match.
Whilst the accuracy of our algorithm is high, the matching confidence displayed is approximate. As a consequence, we cannot guarantee that two directors with a high matching are the same person. For any case where the confidence is not 100%, we advise further investigation.
