How to preview data in Data Search

How to preview data that your search criteria will retrieve in Data Search

 

  1. Build your search in Data Search.
  2. Against each selection a 'View data' option will be available (see highlighted area in the image below)

3. When 'view data' is selected, you will be taken to a new screen presenting a table of data. This table presents a preview of the data that your current search criteria will extract if you progress your search to extract stage. 

4. By selecting the 'Columns' dropdown in the right corner of the table, you can add or remove columns of data to this preview table to present information on screen that you require.

Please note that columns you chose to preview in this table will not be applied to your extract layout, also known as an Output Pack. Extract layouts are selected at a later stage, once you have saved your search.
