Company Watch User Registration: Tips to troubleshoot email registration issues
This article explains actions to take if user licence registration does not succeed because an email address cannot be registered.
If registration fails because an email cannot be registered
- Confirm the email meets the requirement: it must be a named business email that uses the approved email domain for your account.
- Confirm you used the correct unique registration code for the onboarding invite.
- Verify the magic link was clicked within 24 hours of the registration email being sent.
- Check whether your organisation has available user licences, you can do this via the named contact at your company who manages the contract with Company Watch or via the Company Watch Support Team. If additional user licences are required, contact your Company Watch account manager.
Troubleshooting checklist for new users
- Re-enter your registration details on the onboarding application using the correct approved business email and unique registration code.
- Check your inbox (including junk/spam folders) for the magic link to complete registration. You must click the link provided within 24 hours of receipt.
- If you cannot complete registration because no licences remain, request additional licences from your account manager or contact the support team so they can notify your account manager of your requirement.
Reminder: Successful user onboarding requires using the provided unique registration code, a named business email on the approved domain for the account, and activating the magic link within 24 hours. You can find more information on this subject in other User Support articles
