CCJ Expired - Email alert status

The term "CCJ expired" is specific terminology used by Company Watch. It indicates that the County Court Judgment (CCJ) in question has been cancelled.

When a CCJ is registered against a company, one of the following outcomes can occur:

  1. Unsatisfied CCJ: If the CCJ is not paid within 30 days, it remains marked as unsatisfied on the company’s record and will stay on file for six years.
  2. Satisfied CCJ: If the company pays the CCJ after 30 days, it is marked as satisfied but still remains on file for six years, as is standard practice across all credit reference agencies.
  3. Cancelled CCJ (Expired): If the CCJ is paid within 30 days of being registered, it is considered cancelled. In this case, the CCJ is removed entirely from the records.
When the third scenario occurs, Company Watch sends a email alert (where enabled by the user) to confirm that the CCJ has expired and is no longer on record. This email includes the following details:
    •    Company name
    •    Registration number
    •    Case number
    •    Date of registration
    •    Court
    •    Amount
